Today, I want you to ask yourself this :
Where would you be if you do not have a home?
Who will you go to if you do not know who your family is or where they are?
What will you do if you do not have the opportunity to receive proper education?
And lastly :
How are you going to survive if you do not have all that you have right now?
We wake up every morning knowing that we are comfortable and safe and because of our parents we receive the highest education that they could afford for us. After everyday's hard work we recognized that we are able to come home and take a hot shower and be embraced with the support of the people that you love.
But ,
Most times we complain about unnecessary things like how our parents don't allow us to have a midnight drive or hang out with friends that they know are bad for us.
What we do not realized is, when we complain about all this and while we tweeting "FML" there are greater problems out there yet to be known.
Take a second to visualize that's your child right there.
OR knowing that this is where your son finds his food.
And here is where your children play.
First world problems is not having nothing to wear in your closet or not being able to buy the things you want. First world problems is famine and gender inequality.
Imagine you're living in a country that has a volcano that might explode anytime or a high possibility that earthquakes are going to happen?
Imagine you were raped in the streets and your country's law does not touch them but hold you accountable that rape happened to you because you were claimed to wear "provocatively" . Some even, when rape happens the victim must be executed. Picture yourself living in countries that war is over but justice have not serve them right.
Here in Malaysia, often we complain about going to school and waking up early for work or grumble over wanting a new pair of Birkenstocks. There are people out there dying to have an education , any publications that they could read in order to gain knowledge. What really upset me is the fact that there are actually students in college who do not take their education in college seriously, like as if it was some sort of summer camp getaway and it pisses me off because they do not know how fortunate they are to even be there.
I just want to remind all of us that when you think you're having the worst day of your life , think again. When you think your problems are big, remind yourself that there are far greater complications. Sometimes we are so focused in our own problems that we do not realized that there are obstacles far worst than ours.
So learn to count your blessing and be contented.
Below are some videos, feel free to watch them.
Till then, much love.
