A Valentine's Day Letter To My Future Boyfriend.

Dear Darling, 

I pray that you're praying the same prayer as I am every night, that one day we are able 

to meet. I pray that we would meet at the most unexpected time, at the most unusual place. 

I pray that you'll have the most gorgeous eyes so that I can have guilty pleasures starring at them as how I would stare at the 3am stars that fill the sky. I pray that you'll have tender lips so when they touch my skin, I would always feel loved.

I pray that we would like different things but they would fall so perfectly in place. I pray that you would tell me things that I do not know so I that I may never stop learning. I pray that you're a decent man, someone who would not only love me but loves my family as much as I would love yours. I pray that you will always stay humble when it comes to your professionalism. 

I pray that you'll be my brother's greatest friend,  I pray that you'll be a respectful son to my mum. I pray that you'll be a great brother to my beautiful cousins, that whenever they may need help you'll be there. I pray that we would attend the most dreadful family dinners together and laugh off about it at the end of the night because having each other made it a whole lot better. 

I pray that your passion for your dreams will not die, that you would strive your very best because you are more than capable. I pray that you would share your problems with me , trusting me that I would not judge too quickly and I would bare them with you. 

I pray for many great days with you and some bad days too, so that we learn from our mistakes. I pray that we would come to understand that our imperfections made us human, that we may not be perfect but that does not say we are not conquerors of our failures. 

I pray that we would keep in mind that little things we do for each other, matters. I pray that we would have the habit of kissing each other before we set off on our daily work and that we would hold hands when we are on dates. During the night, we would embrace like we're about to lose each other the next morning. I also pray that you are a man who respects our relationship, that you would not do anything that would jeopardize it.

I pray that you are silly and weird, so I have the green card to take the most ugliest pictures with you. I pray that you will pretend to enjoy chick flicks and cry while watching Nicholas Sparks love movies. I pray for random dances in our house. I pray that we would have picnics and book dates together. I pray that we would eat the unhealthiest food after a morning jog and still look hot. I pray we would have great moments of me wearing your favorite boxers and you putting on eyeliners. 

I pray that when we fight, we would not last more than 5 minutes and we would still ask each other if we want dinner the next moment. I pray that you will have the patience to love an annoying girlfriend. I pray that we would travel the world and get lost because getting lost with you is better than getting lost with my mum.

I do not wish or want a Romeo and Juliet's love story but rather how Johnny Depp would love Winona Ryders. That you would look at me and know that I am different from people you have dated before and have that feeling in you when you are with me that you are blessed.

Lastly I pray, that before I meet you , I will learn how to love myself and grow into the kind of woman I want to be. So when I meet you, I will know that I am ready to commit and love you wholeheartedly.
