There is this new rule in college that students are not allowed to wear shorts and slippers to college.
If you got caught for the first time you are required to consult the counselor. (that is not even from our college)
The second time they catch you, you are required to do community service and meet the counselor again.
They will call your parents for the third and fine you more money cause the resource fee we pay them is not enough :D
I came into college using the back gate today and two Inspector Gadget were already standing at the gate waiting to catch heinous crimes that are about to happen. I walked in with a guy who was also wearing shorts with slippers. Inspector Gadget No.1 asked No.2 to write me a fine and told him that the guy right beside me is free to go.
There is no excuse to why I got caught and since IT IS the college rule , I should have obeyed it but if a community were to set a rule saying "ALL STUDENTS" I would expect this rule to be applied fairly.
I cannot comprehend to why a private college should have this rule.
And if so the dress code must be implemented then how is the rule only applied to female students?
How is this rule going to affect our education?
Perhaps my thoughts are shallow and perhaps too, that there is a reason to why this rule is implemented. BUT I CANT GET PREGNANT BY SHOWING MY LEGS . YOU CAN BARELY SEE THEM ITS SO SHORT. Nonetheless, feel free to drop comments to enlighten me.
This is only one problem , there is still the Bursary system and SRO services.
I am not stating all of this because I dislike my college, there are wonderful lecturers from the Mass Comm department and the food sold at the canteen is not horrible. However, I guess there are more problems they should work on rather than fining people for their dressing.
PS: Whatever that is stated is only my opinion.
Till then, stay fab.
