How many of you have been shut out just because you are a woman?
Throughout the years women have been taught to be housewives, to stay at home and take care of the house. Women have been taught that their opinions do not matter because they are more emotional compared to men. Back in the days (not sure now) In China educations are only provided to men because they claim that women do not need them. What sickens me most now is that women are told that RAPE is their FAULT because of the garments they wear.
People who taught women or supports the idea of WOMEN CANT or WOMEN SHOULD OR SHOULDNT, should not have daughters or wives or probably should be compelled to keep their opinions to themselves because their sayings on women in the 21st Century is not valid. I can never imagine a father telling his daughter " Darling, you got rape cause you wore a dress".
Women are taught to be self-conscious all the time. What people should know is that, women are not born insecure they are shaped by the society to be insecure cause our society teach women that they are not allowed to be free to express themselves. If they are opinionated they are called a bitch, if they are sexually active they are call a slut, if they are smart they are nerds, if they are virgins they are "TOO GOOD", if they wear boyfriend jeans they are tomboys. We are humans , we are not a clothing line label.
I went to a Christmas Party a few years back and as we were having dinner, a friend of my mum's daughter was pursuing her studies as an engineer student. She is tall and gorgeous like a model. As they were talking among each other Aunt. A said " WHAT? Your daughter so pretty studying engineer ? WOW why don't want to be model?"
Point here, is not to judge Aunt.A, point here is that women ourselves are compelled that being tall and pretty we should all be "models" and if you are less than that you are fitted in to be a doctor or an engineer. Generations after generations , this shallow mindset of ours has form the definition of being "WOMEN".
Women need to be taught to stand out and be different, they need to know that they are able to express themselves in multiple ways. It is important for women to fathom that we are just as able to do whatever a man can do. To speak up and voice out for people who can't. Lastly,Women need to recognize that their opinions can also help change the world.

Stay tune for part two. :)
Till then, much love.
